How Rollagain works, and how to reach us
Short answers to what drivers, mechanics and fleets ask. Anything else: write to us.
Drivers and customers
What does it cost to request a mechanic?
Nothing until you approve a locked price. The mechanic sends one price before any work. You approve it with your card, and the card is held, not charged, until you confirm the truck is rolling, or until 24 hours pass after the mechanic marks the job done with no word from you.
Can the price change after I approve?
No. Nothing is added without a new approval from you. If the mechanic finds something else, you get a new price to approve or decline. No after-hours surcharge, no mileage surprise.
The work was not done right. What now?
Tap “Something is wrong” on the job page before you confirm. The payment is held, not reversed, and Rollagain decides on the record (photos, GPS, times) within 48 hours.
I am on a highway or a toll road.
Mechanics are not allowed to work on the mainline or shoulder of toll roads and many highways. Turn on the flashers, set out the triangles, stay away from traffic, and call the road's own service (the number on the roadside signs). They can bring you to a safe place, and we send a mechanic there.
Can I book a visit for later?
Yes. Choose “Book for later” when you request: a two-hour window, at least two hours from now and up to six days ahead. Same locked price, same rules. Cancel free until two hours before.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. The link we text you is your page: the locked price, the mechanic on the way, the photos, the receipt. Drivers who request often can create an account; fleets get a company account.
Mechanics
How do I get verified as a mechanic?
A government ID, your state repair registration or license, and a certificate of insurance as the Mechanic Agreement describes (at least $1,000,000 liability naming Rollagain as additional insured, commercial auto). Rollagain reviews the documents, usually within one business day. You stay an independent business; Rollagain reviews documents, it does not guarantee anyone’s work.
What does Rollagain take?
15% of each amount charged on a network job (the locked price, and each addition the customer approves). On your own customers, 1% plus a card fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per card charge; the customer sees only the total. No monthly fee. Sales tax lines are left out of the percentage; the card fee is on the whole charge.
When am I paid?
When the customer confirms the truck is rolling, or automatically 24 hours after you mark the job done. Payouts go to your Stripe account within about a business day, then to your bank on Stripe's schedule. A dispute holds the payment until Rollagain decides on the record.
Why must I take photos?
Before and after photos, GPS and times are the record. The app does not let you start or finish without them, and they decide a dispute in your favor when the work was done.
Fleets
How does a company account work?
One company, drivers join with a code, the manager sees every job and can request a mechanic for any driver. Ask for monthly invoicing instead of a card per job; one invoice per month, every job documented for the maintenance file.
